We use time management software to track client work, billing in 6-minute increments (10% of the hourly rate per increment). Below is the breakdown of our billing increments:
• 1–6 minutes: 10% of the hourly rate
• 7–12 minutes: 20% of the hourly rate
• 13–18 minutes: 30% of the hourly rate
• 19–24 minutes: 40% of the hourly rate
• 25–30 minutes: 50% of the hourly rate
• 31–36 minutes: 60% of the hourly rate
• 37–42 minutes: 70% of the hourly rate
• 43–48 minutes: 80% of the hourly rate
• 49–54 minutes: 90% of the hourly rate
• 55–60 minutes: 100% of the hourly rateFor example:
• If we spend 15 minutes on a task, you will be charged 30% of the hourly rate, as it falls within the third increment (13–18 minutes).
• For a 43-minute task, you’ll be billed 80% of the hourly rate, since it falls within the eighth increment (43–48 minutes).
